Some Bad News For LilGothFaery

My little brother Thomas who is 19yrs old has been battling cancer the last year or so. Unfortunately we were told on Friday that the chemotherapy isnt helping him, so his treatment is being stopped and he's being sent home now. I dont really know how I feel right now. Having moved around so frequently I havent been able to keep contact with friends so Im feeling a little bit alone atm. I thought maybe I could find some support online. Its tough, and Im utterly terrified.

offering big hugs to you.. I lost my uncle ( who was only 11 years older and more like a brother) a couple of years ago to Leukemia....

if there is any way we can help then please just shout.

Thanks everyone, its hard atm because we're in the dark about a lot. No one has asked yet how long he has but I think we find out tomorrow. I will keep updating on here, and its nice to to know theres people out there who have been there. Ive never known anyone to die and have major issues with death etc, so its hitting me hard x

most importantly is don't bottle things up.. my experiences of these things are is that the professionals will not talk directly about the ulitmate conclusion to these things and they will skirt round some of the issues.

If you, or your family have questions, make sure you ask them.. sometimes things can happen quickly so make a list of things that you want answers to... often it is worse when you don't know are your imagination fills in the gaps and will usually go for the worst case scenario.

Had a scare yesterday and thought we were going to lose him. He'd woken up with breathing difficulties (hes home now at my Uncles) and was panicking because I think he thought that it was happening to him then and he wasnt ready. Although, I dont believe he ever will be ready. We're holding a little party for him in Luton next week, that should be nice for him, he loves parties. Its so sad though, Im in a state atm but trying to stay strong when I see him.

I was away from the forum awhile. I didn't see this. I'm so sorry for you All you can do is try to make him happy at his darkest moments :/

His party went well, was very emotional but he had the best time. He's still struggling on, he's a fighter. All we can pray for is more time Thanks everyone x Ill keep you updated

Thomas fell asleep on Sunday 20th April. He wasnt in pain, he was peaceful and in my Dads arms. Thanks for everyones support.
