| Is anyone else as completely obsessed with Elegant Gothic Lolita as me? Im in love with the all the lace, ribbons and bows. I cant get enough of it lol. Sadly the only two lolita shops I knew existed are gone, one of which was Angel Pretty (which Wes told me had burnt down in the camden fire a few weeks back)
So yeah, who else is in love with Japanese Gothic Lolita? | |

| Lol I know you like it! I remember seeing you at Black Planet that night and just adoring your outfit. Although i was dressed 'Cybergoth' that night....perhaps I should have gone Lolita instead hehe. So many clothes, so little time! I wish I could afford a dress by 'Baby The Stars Shine Bright' | |

| You can make dresses? Im really interested in getting into that sort of thing too and might even invest in a sewing machine. Where did you learn to make them? Where do you get your patterns? | |

| i actually do it for a living, I'm a costume designer/maker i learned initially by throwing stuff together in my bedroom, then i went and got some formal training at Northampton college, did a national diploma then on to an HND in fashion and costume, then a degree in fashion costume and textiles, after that i worked in various sad branded clothing retail outlets to get a grasp of the sales bit, followed by a stint designing and making pantomime costumes for 4 years (where my heart lies), then a stint in proper theatre and now I'm essentially freelance although always on the look out for a steady income. ive been known to do a stall at WGW in the past and quite often throw some bits and pieces together and flog em on ebay for pocket money. i make all my own patterns, do all my own design work, generally only deal in one off creations (which is why i cant earn a living) and own far too much fabric that ill never get made up. only downer is, i cant make stuff for myself, always turns out rubbish, theres some piccies on my myspace although i havn't updated it for literally years, infact its high time i put some effort into my portfolio. ill give anything a go as far as a challenge is concerned, best thing i ever made was the corset of doom, hard leather tooled corset, hand carved and stitched out of 5mm thick veg tanned cow hide. (pics are the background of my myspace)
ill shut up now.
